Louky Keijsers Koning offers art appraisal services for the purposes of insurance, charitable donation, and estate planning. She completed the Certificate of Appraisal Studies at NYU and successfully passed the Uniform Standards of Appraisal Practice exam in 2014. Keijsers Koning holds an M.A. in Art History and in Art Management from the University of Amsterdam. Her appraisal practice specializes in post-World War II, contemporary and emerging art.
Active on New York’s contemporary art market since the early-2000s, Louky Keijsers Koning managed several contemporary art galleries before starting the multi-media art gallery LMAKprojects, now LMAKgallery, in 2005. Through the gallery, represented artists’ works have been placed in various public collections such as the Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Benton Museum, Public Library of New York, the Contemporary Museum of Photography, The Philbrook Museum of Art, Rhode Island Museum of Art, the Minneapolis Institute of Art, El Museo del Barrio, and the Kadist Art Foundation.
